Volvo sedans might be a good option if you are happy with sedans. There's enough commonality with Saabs and the newer ones have regenerative braking as a mild hybrid without the battery concerns of a more predominantly electric car. The sedans don't seem to be quite as expensive or as in demand as the SUVs. The drive train may be simpler also (eg vs the T8 which I gather from what I've read can have some expensive failure modes, eg a dead supercharger).
It would be interesting to hear thoughts from some of the techs here who work on both Saabs and Volvos about the newer Volvos.
